ASPIRING EDUCATORS is a pre-professional organization for students who are preparing for careers in education. EARLY CHILDHOOD STUDENT ASSOCIATION is an organization that helps equip future educators with knowledge and resources to promote high-quality learning for young children. During our meetings, we will have a guest speakers who prepare our members as future educators in different areas such as classroom management, technology integration, hands-on learning, child development and how to overall meet the needs of future students. Early Childhood Student Association is a great opportunity for members to gain knowledge about their future career as an educator without a huge time commitment looming over their heads. STUDENT COUNCIL FOR EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN (SCEC) offers special education majors the opportunity to develop leadership skills and to participate in professional development activities. WESTERN ILLINOIS READING COUNCIL Promotes reading through special programs and projects in the western section of the state. Children's authors, reading techniques and independent reading sources are the focus of the programs. Student membership is $15.
